Saline electrolysis is a water treatment method in which the oxidising agent, the chlorine, is generated directly from the water to be treated by means of an electrolytic process. This technique avoids the need to add Chlorine (Calcium Hypo) to the water being treated, thereby eliminating any handling or storage of chemicals.
